Martin Helgestad
As an Account Executive for Paragon based in Minneapolis, Mr. Helgestad manages two large government insurance pools administered by Paragon: the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF) and the U.S. Treasury Department's Terrorism Risk Insurance Program (TRIP). He is responsible for the administrative operations of the FHCF, which include systems development and maintenance, reimbursement contract management, exposure processing, claims processing, financial reporting, accounting, insurer communications and consulting to the State Board of Administration. For TRIP, Mr. Helgestad is responsible for systems development and maintenance, claims processing, statistical analysis, reporting, and general support. Prior to joining Paragon, he served as a Weather Specialist in the Air Force from 1986 to 1991, and worked at United Healthcare as an Analyst. He earned his B.S. in Management from the University of Minnesota and a M.B.A. in Strategic Management from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
